    Statistical Support

    General Information

The statistical consulting service for research students is funded by the Monash Research Graduate School and provided by the Department of Econometrics and Business Statistics, the School of Mathematical Sciences, and the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine.

    Level of assistance:

Postgraduate research students are eligible for up to 10 hours of free statistical assistance over the course of their candidature. If more than ten hours is necessary an hourly fee will be charged.

External students can access the service via the email contacts listed at the bottom of this page.

Contact the service in the early stages of your research

We won't write your thesis for you, but we can help you to plan your data collection, analyse your data, interpret your statistical analysis, present statistical results, and use a statistical package on a computer.

Statistical science covers a broad range of topics, from accounting to zoology. Research students are encouraged to consult with the service early in the design of an experiment, survey or study. Professional assistance may save you time and money, and help you to avoid common problems in data collection and analysis.
